So…..I’m here. 12 hours of travel time. I found that I spent most of the trip praying. Praying that God would continue to keep us all safe, and that I would be able to follow his direction. This place is amazing. We were greeted with smiles from everyone. I was worried about how my nursing skills would be used. I have already “treated” three of our team. Minor things. Bug bites, a small cut. Nothing a band aid and a word of comfort cant fix. Hopefully that is the worst thing I have to tend to. I find that I am itching to visit the children at the orphanage. Walking by, I can hear the screams and laughter from the girls. It is amazing to me that they have so little, but still find joy in their day. I am sad at missing the important people in my life, but finding my joy here every minute.
